Sharon Discorfano in Southern California - Standing BowAdult Class Offerings

At Lyric, we offer a variety of classes so that you can have the practice that's most appropriate for you!  Whether you are desiring a gentle and restorative practice, or want something to work up a sweat, we offer different kinds of classes throughout the week that will meet your needs and your schedule.

Weekly classses are ongoing, no pre-registration required.  Just come about 10 minutes before class is scheduled to begin.

All-Level Adult Hatha Yoga & "Happy Hour" Hatha
These classes feature breathwork and traditional yoga postures with the goal of increasing strength and flexibility.  In addition, a Hatha Yoga practice aims to heighten awareness and enable relaxation.  Classes that are open to all levels are appropriate for everyone, including beginners.  Modifications are offered to beginners; and, when appropriate, a variation for more experienced yogis in the room is offered in order to get deeper into the posture.

Hatha I
(Gentle/Restorative) Our Hatha I classes are specifically designed for beginners or those desiring a more gentle, restorative practice.

Yoga for Women
(Gentle-Moderate) A Hatha Yoga class geared specifically for women that celebrates the feminine body and spirit.  Also appropriate for Prenatal/Postnatal yoginis.

Hatha Flow
(Moderate-Vigorous) A 60-minute class that includes a flow built on Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) as its focus, incorporating other standing and floor postures to round out the practice and leave you feeling both invigorated and relaxed.

All-Level Flow
(Moderate) A flow class that is open to and appropriate for students of all levels. Because of the constant motion, these all-level classes can provide an added cardiovascular workout!

Mindful Yoga
Open to all levels, this Saturday morning class focuses on breath work and asana (yoga postures) to bring the yin and yang aspects of our nature into better balance.  Mindfulness and peacefulness go hand in hand...
