Introduction to Yoga (4-week series)
Yoga will meet you wherever you're at in your own life. We will introduce how yoga can alter the way you relate to your body, as it helps you gain flexibility, strength and confidence. Exploring basic seated, standing, prone (belly) and balance poses, mudras, pranayama and savasana. This 4-week series is offered by Lyric for beginners who would like an introduction to the different aspects of yoga. However, it also can benefit those already attending classes as a means of gaining a deeper understanding of their yoga practice and refining some of the fundamentals. In addition to a review of yoga postures, this series will give you an opportunity to further explore pranayama (breathwork) and the use of mudras as part of the yoga experience. These classes are taught by Sara Popadak.
Cost: $49 for 4 weeks. Pre-registration is required. Lyric Class Cards and Month Pass are not applicable.
*You are encouraged to bring your own mat, but mats are offered for all workshops and 4-week series free of charrge.
