Sharon Discorfano, MA, CYT, RYT
President

In addition to a B.A. from Rice University (magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa) and a M.A. in English from Georgetown University, Sharon holds a M.A. from New York University in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, with her initial post-baccalaureate work in Psychology done at Columbia University. While at NYU, she was inducted as a member Psi-Chi, the honor society for Psychology. Her focus on psychology as applied to the workplace has centered on motivation and leadership issues, training and development, and organizational change.  She continued her studies as a doctoral student and Research Associate in Management and Policy at the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Business and Public Administration.  At the University of Arizona, her research interests were employee well-being, creativity, and organizational justice.  Courses she has taught at the University of Arizona include "The Human Side of Organizations" and "Organizational Behavior." She has been a guest speaker at events in the community and professional conferences, for organizations such as the Tucson Unified School District and Dove Mountain Rotary Club.  Articles by Sharon have appeared in numerous publications, including The Center for Creative Leadership's publication Leadership in Action and The Wilson Quarterly. She also is credited as a contributor to the Encyclopedia of Industrial and Organizational Psychology (Sage, 2006). Her personal experiences in the workplace range from academic settings to the music industry to Wall Street. Currently, Sharon is an active part of the Arizona Yoga Association (board member, 2005-2007) and serves as Editor of the association's quarterly, Arizona Yoga.  She also is a member of the National Association of Women Business owners (NAWBO) and volunteers for Foundation for Animals in Risk (FAIR).  Other organizations of which Sharon has been a member include the Society of Industrial/Organizational Psychologists (SIOP) and the Association of Training and Development (ASTD).  Additionally, Sharon is a certified yoga instructor, registered with the national organization Yoga Alliance.  She has more than fifteen years of experience as a teacher and trainer.

Jenny Kendall, MS, CYT, RYT
Associate
Jenny received a B.S. from Purdue University and continued her studies at Purdue to complete a M.S. in Animal Science.  Subsequently, she received a second M.S. from Kansas State University in Statistics. She currently teaches Business Statistics and Quantitative Methods for the University of Phoenix, both online and at their southern Arizona campuses.  Her work experience includes seven years as a Six Sigma Black Belt Trainer for Motorola University.  In addition, for ten years, she developed and delivered customized courses in implementing statistical method initiatives with JMP and Minitab software for clients in the software, pharmaceutical, and agribusiness industries. Jenny also is a certified yoga instructor, registered with Yoga Alliance. She teaches yoga classes in both studio and corporate settings.  Additionally, Jenny has become known within the Tucson yoga community for her retreats that allow participants to practice yoga with horses (Equine Facilitated Experiential Learning). 

Lorraine Gutsche
Associate 
Lorraine is an accomplished change management consultant. She has presented many seminars and workshops in human resource development on topics that include interactive management, maximizing performance, building winning teams, and managing change. She is also an experienced career coach working with executives, managers and staff in a variety of industries.
As an expert in interpersonal communications, Lorraine has helped both individuals and companies increase productivity and team effectiveness. By working with managers and employees on business communication styles and skills, Lorraine has helped teams quickly improve and make steady progress toward reaching their fullest potential. Her work includes one-on-one sessions with individuals, facilitated meetings between manager and employee as well as team meetings. Her work has helped thousands of people become more productive, more effective and less stressed. In today's environment, improving productivity and job satisfaction at the same time creates an important strategic advantage for companies. Lorraine has worked with companies such as Canyon Ranch, Weiser Lock, Raytheon, Microsoft, Aetna Health Plans, Metropolitan Life, Columbia El Dorado Hospital, Pima Community College, Community Foundation of Southern Arizona, Keane, Apta Software and Northern Illinois University, to name just a few. Lorraine holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin and has completed graduate level work in psychology.
