Studio Policies
The following policies are meant to ensure that Lyric is a peaceful yoga environment, where we are mindful of others and maintain a spirit of community. We ask that you read these and abide by them while practicing at Lyric.
- Please sign in on the sign-in sheet as soon as you enter the studio.
- Please remove shoes before entering the practice area.
- Please turn off cell phones and pagers BEFORE entering the reception area of the studio. If you must make or take a call, please do so outside.
- No colored drinks in class; no glass bottles.
- Avoid wearing strong perfumes or cologne.
- No chewing gum, please!
- Once you enter the practice area, please be mindful of others who are preparing for class by keeping conversations to a minimum and your voice quiet.
- If you come to the studio while a class is in progress, please do not disturb the class by knocking on the door if it is locked. We ask that you return at a time when we can attend to you, usually 15-20 minutes before any scheduled class, or immediately following a scheduled class.
- Please enter and exit the practice area in between postures so as not to disrupt.
- We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- The studio reserves the right to decline admittance to any student.
- All purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.
New students: Please arrive about 10 minutes before your first class. All accessories (blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets) are always available at the Lyric studio. A mat is provided free of charge for your trial class. What to wear? Yoga pants or shorts, t-shirts or tank tops. Clothes should be loose-fitting to allow movement and should allow your skin to breathe (cotton or organic fibers). No shoes or socks are worn in the yoga practice room.
